How can i compile brcmfmac with CONFIG_BRCMDBG activated in .config of the SDK?

May i simply add this option below the packages entry? Or is there some sub-config for the package?
Debugging a driver without debug messages is difficult, i cant even see if and witch sdio firmware and nvram this driver loads or tries to without debug feature set to on...
