How to check JFFS2 partition?

i have a router brick, which can boot into OpenWrt failsafe mode
so the jffs2 partition is broken, right?
can i mount it on PC ubuntu?

Although you can try to access the JFFS2 partition, fixing it may not be trivial.
So, you should probably just reset the filesystem or reflash the firmware.
