Hi,
currently I'm using router with Tomato firmware, but Tomato is based on very old kernel, so I'm thinking about change. I found that OpenWRT is probably the best system for router, but some people are saying that drivers for WiFi chips in routers are very bad in OpenWRT - that 5G doesn't work and there are problems and issues all the time.
I'm not planning to build PC based router. It is more likely I will use one of available hardware options (linksys/netgear etc.) - but this case with drivers is confusing me.
How it is with WIFI drivers in OpenWRT?
