Please someone explain how it works. And from which distance we should use this remote. Can we use this remote more than the distance of 30 ft. from the device?

The Fire TV's remote is bluetooth, afaik ¯\(ツ)/¯
The really old ones are Bluetooth, newer ones use 5 Ghz wifi. There is an invisible channel 36 if you're near your Fire TV. But don't ask me about the protocol.
