Home network hardware help please?

The Cudy wired access point that's been recommended is now the AX3000 rather than the AP3000 although both names are listed in the spec sheet. There is an AP3000 wall mount, but the ceiling is AX and AP depending on where you look on the page, both evidently don't work now with the new chipset. Cudy started using a new flash chip in their AX3000 devices, it's currently unsupported The Unify 6+ was also recommended and I already have one. It's more expensive, but available and it works. or at least it lets me flash it. Any issues with this as an access point running OpenWrt? If so what's another good choice? I'm going to try the Flint 2. Company in Fairfax, Va. Not going to look and see how close that is to Reston.
