High-end Wi-Fi router recommendations?

Hello, I am new to the forum

I have a 1Gbit internet connection and would like to buy a router that is supported (Or is sure to get support in the future) by OpenWrt.

Currently I own an Asus GT-AC5300 but it is not supported by OpenWrt due to it being based on a Broadcom chip.

Can some high-end Wi-Fi routers be recommend? Preferably with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) support since it is coming soon to OpenWrt.

While lengthy, 802.11ax Routers might be worth reading.

Thank you for the links. I can see that the Linksys E8450 (Belkin RT3200) is a decent Wi-Fi 6 router with ongoing OpenWrt development. I will keep an eye on it
