Help to install Openwrt on a Cudy WR1300E V1.0

trying to use the .bin file inside "WR3000E_V1.zip" (from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BKVarlwlNxf7uJUtRhuMGUqeCa5KpMnj - link obtained here: https://openwrt.org/toh/cudy/cudy_wr1300_v2 ) to "upgrade" to device via the Web UI leads to:

How can I install on this device?

  • tried to reach the maker support by mail, but the answer provides no help...

Your device is WR1300E V1 and you try to install WR1300 v2?

no: just got the link to a google drive folder, with "intermediary openwrt firmware" from the maker, there...

Maybe install a more recent Cudy firmware first. Yours is old.

No luck:

got firmware from https://www.cudy.com/pt-br/pages/download-center/wr1300e-1-0 and the upgrade was successful

ops, noticed now: I'm mistaking WR3000E with WR1300E (there's no file/firmware for WR1300E...)

Just to be clear, the intermediate firmware is officially supplied by Cudy. Have you inquired with the OEM?

I have contacted the Cudy support by e-mail, but had no useful answer yet (apparently, there's no "intermediate firmware" for my hardware, up to now...)

About the "OEM" portion in your question, you mean the seller?

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), in this case, Cudy. Same reference.

Considering that you have changed text and image since first message it's unclear of what you are trying to achieve.
If device is WR1300E v1.0, than there is no intermediate image available on Cudy googledrive, and no official OPenWrt image for 24.10 and snapshot. Apparently you are trying to install WR3000e image.

Edited just to correct the message texts (I changed some images?!)

some more help (or can I trash this device)?

if spec is correct, support will most likely not happen, 8MB flash is soon not enough to accommodate OpenWRT, you need 16MB or more.

Wow (ty for the info)

* damned letter "E" in the model: I've only noticed it after the delivery (up to the delivery, I thought I had bought a "WR1300"... buyed it just to install openwrt: bad purchase :person_facepalming:)

I told you since the beginning that you are in some kind of confusion about the model

If you can't help, don't disturb, please...
