You should "sysupgrade" to stable release, snapshot is for proficient testers, not everybody.

I reinstalled it yesterday following these instructions:

Internet works via LAN cable.

No access via 192.168.1.1

Doesn't tell us anything about what you reinstalled.

The deep link they provide leads to an image without the web UI, you need to follow their post processing instructions and install it manually.
Or simply install a stable release instead. Change SNAPSHOT to 24.10.1 in the link they used.

Bought a new BP R4 last week and completely installed new it yesterday.

My question: What car are you driving ?
Your answer: Banana

Try answering the question instead...

The hw isn't the correct answer here, the software (image) used is...

Great, then reread and apply what I wrote three posts back.

OK, thank you very much. I'll do it again.
Thanks again.

Hi, I have everything installed and I get the following message:

Screenshot 2025-05-23 at 20-30-29 OpenWrt - LuCI

Installed on SD card then via "sudo minicom -s" on NAND n then on eMMC
What can I do now?

https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/24.10.1/targets/mediatek/filogic/openwrt-24.10.1-mediatek-filogic-bananapi_bpi-r4-sdcard.img.gz

You installed the wrong image.

Which one is the right one?

When you updated the post, it was the right one. You might be ending up at the recovery image, and not booting from storage.

Have you seen https://openwrt.org/inbox/toh/sinovoip/bananapi_bpi-r4#installation ?

so boot only from SD card not from eMMC?

My setting is lost after a while. Wifi language. Is there no way to change that?

They are lost every time you reboot, as long as your device keeps booting the recovery mode initramfs.

How can I initiate recovery mode disable?
