I run the WRT160NL build on mine (it is a C1 but I think the C2 is practically identical) It has USB support built in. I don't remember if I changed the bootloader or not.
Of course you will want to upgrade the flash and RAM while you are in there. The WRT160NL build is great for anything AP81 / AR9130 based (WNR2000v1 another example). It will adjust to a 16 MB flash without rebuilding.
