The Archer A5 v4.x does not appear to be supported by the official OpenWrt project. What file were you trying to install?

they say is identicale to archer c50 v3 they have the same mt7628an chip and mt7612en 5G chip i trayed this verision of openwrt openwrt-23.05.5-ramips-mt76x8-tplink_archer-c50-v4-initramfs-kernel.bin and i bricked the device so i wase thinking that im smart by wiping the memory chip and instaling the original firmware will hellp to fix the router but i was stubid i didn't read the device page instruction and im asking no for help

Who is "they"? I haven't seen anything on OpenWrt's forums to suggest that they are identical devices, but it's certainly possible that they are.

even if they have the same chips, they may not be truly identical. So it's important to verify that they are actually the same design sold under two different model numbers.

Hmmm... you said your device is equivalent to the v3, so why did you use the v4 file?

Anyway, there are instructions for these devices that seem to suggest that tftp is the best route.

I'd suggest trying to restore the vendor firmware to the device with tftp. Does that method still work in general?

The tftp worck only withe the original bootloader

I'm not sure that you're going to find the right resources here since the device isn't officially supported.

Where did you see that the A5v4.2 is the same as the C50v3?
