Any update on the wifi support for Asus GT-AC5300? I visited the link that you mentioned and could not find a way to get an openwrt firmware that support wifi.
That’s because there is no openwrt that supports the wifi controller on this board.
Broadcom wifi is barely supported for older chipsets and not supported at all for AC wifi. This limitation is set by Broadcom themselves.
These boards get supported builds for wired use only.
