Green Blinking tp link tl-wr840n v5 recovery

Hi there
I installed Openwrt on my tp link tl-wr840n v5 router and for some reason wanted to recover original firmware
when I installed the original fr I bricked it
I used tftp and could upload original frimware

Connection received from 192.168.0.2 on port 3661 [21/08 09:03:38.347]
Read request for file <tp_recovery.bin>. Mode octet [21/08 09:03:38.348]
OACK: <timeout=1,> [21/08 09:03:38.368]
Using local port 63007 [21/08 09:03:38.368]
<tp_recovery.bin>: sent 7938 blks, 4063744 bytes in 2 s. 0 blk resent [21/08 09:03:40.682]

I saw this topic TL-WR840N v5 bootloop
but it didn't help me

but lan card unplugged when it connected to router and when I push reset button for 8 sec it's trying to get ip then unplugged after 10 sec and my router still blinking green light
Can somebody help me to fix that?

thank you

Give it some time after router takes the image. Do not touch it for ~10 min.

Unfortunately, Nothing Happened!! I uploaded Firmware via TFTP again and it was successful, then wait for 20 mins the problem remains:pensive::unamused::roll_eyes:

is there a solution?

I couldn't find any solution yet

The same happened to me, I think the last supported OpenWRT build for this router is buggy. @David.S.Mckellen - did you manage to find a solution?

Hi There
I don't have this model anymore and sent it to trash can last year

I manage to fix it, it requires a deletion of the first 512 bytes from the original firmware and than a tftp flash.
