I am looking for a router that is less ugly than my current R7800 so that I can put it in a better, but more visible place.
Can anyone tell me if this router’s range comparable to that of an R7800? Is it stable with OpenWrt 19.07 firmware?
I read that it can do close to 200M with SQM, so just need to figure out if it is stable enough and has a good range.

I don’t have R7800. But it should be stable with openwrt 1907.
Well, a GL-B1300 ain't no R7800 as far as the range goes, but otherwise it is pretty impressive: two wireless clients can do 120Mbps (5GHz AC, 80MHz channel width) and I think the limitation is on the clients, because the router still have plenty of muscle left.
I just looked it up, the B1200 can do 20dbm for both its 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal, while the r7800 can do 30/30, which is big enough difference, not to mention one is 2x2 and the other 4x4.
