Is it possible to get shell access to this device ZTE 5161z
if you own the device, it's probably easier for you to find out, than us.
why would you need UART access for a LTE stick, in the 1st place ?

There are probably other sites that would be better suited for this topic.
I understand, but this site contains relevant info for connecting to routers, and likely easily answerable to somebody with common knowledge of these devices.
except the ZTE isn't really a router, nor does it run openwrt.
still unclear why you would need this.
