FritzRepeater 3000 brick?

Good morning.
I think I messed up.
I installed OpenWrt 24.10 on the Fritz in question, but now I'm playing with the settings and can't access it anymore. I can't reset it with the only button available.

How do I access it? Isn't it possible to repeat the installation as described here? The IP address 192.168.178.1 is always present when I turn it on.

Thanks

That is the AVM firmware default address.
OpenWRT, if running successfully, always uses 192.168.1.1 by default (on all devices). So if your address differs, then it is not (yet) running OpenWRT.

That is also the reason, why the OpenWRT reset method does not (yet) work on your device, as it depends on properly running OpenWRT.

You must have missed steps from the installation procedure or followed steps incorrectly.

Can you post the full download URL of the OpenWRT firmware file?

Hi. I can't tell you what I downloaded right now, but it definitely worked because I played with the Luci console. Then, when I rebooted, it was no longer accessible from 1.1. I'll tell you everything as soon as I can.

Thanks.

These are the files I downloaded:

eva_ramboot.py
openwrt-24.10.0-ipq40xx-generic-avm_fritzrepeater-3000-initramfs-uImage.itb
openwrt-24.10.0-ipq40xx-generic-avm_fritzrepeater-3000-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
uboot-fritz3000.bin

Now I managed to recover the Fritz using Fritz Repeater Recovery, and everything works, but I can no longer ping 192.168.178.1.
Oh well, at least I won't have a new useless ornament.

Thanks

Recovered to what ?

Wrong IP for Openwrt, and possibly wrong Ethernet port too, it got two of those, right ?

Recovered to fritz os. Now I'm checking to see if there's a way to try openwrt again.

yes it has two ports but I tried both

Added a short guide for debrick. here

You might have failed on installation steps after having flashed ...-initramfs-....

Those images are flashed to RAM and are meant for tests and as intermediary steps during installation on some devices. After a reboot the image is gone.

You could retry and post the installation command line input and output step by step.

I said, I had finished the installation and everything was working until I made a mistake in some configuration. The important thing is that I managed to recover the repeater. Thanks.
