Flash Unifi AC PRO to OpenWrt

Hello everybody,

I have just received my new AP, but the web interface and the behavior of the AP fuck me completely.

It starts with the fact that it is not possible to properly execute the "opkg update" command after an SSH login.

The directory 12.09-rc1 does not seem to exist or no longer exists.
Only 12.09 is available.

Since I have more experience with a clean OpenWRT, I would like to install the firmware there.

Has anyone done this before?
Are there any known problems here?
Does the current release have any problems that I should know?
I am familiar with the documentation for installing the firmware:
https://openwrt.org/toh/ubiquiti/unifi_appro

Is there any other way to get back to stock firmware if I don't like the hardware?

Many thanks.

I think there is no point to keep ancient repositories of Release Candidate versions.
In the device documentation page there is a link to a page to restore original Ubiquity firmware.

Works fine for me, FWIW. I'd recommend going for the ath79 version, as the ar71xx target is deprecated (or will be soon?)

Note that the dual firmware OEM partition scheme isn't supported so you should always boot from the first firmware partition when using OpenWrt.

tftp restore will work regardless of what you have installed, and is the method supported and recommended by the vendor:
