Flash of TL-MR6400 via OEM firmware?

Hi,
I tried to flash the TL-MR6400 (currently running stock firmware) with LEDE snapshot but it fails, the webUI complains about wrong version.
TL-MR6400
Will the 'regular' method (using stock web interface) be available for this device or users will have to keep using the TFTP method?

Since currently there are no other changes listed for the TL-MR6400, TFTP seems to be the only choice.

Thank you very much.
I currently have a TL-WR1043ND v2.1 running LEDE in a massive extroot setup running a bunch of services and I never flashed via TFTP, but seems pretty straight forward, I will give it a try.
