Flagged post removed by staff

I received an automated message letting me know that one of my posts was removed and required manual staff intervention. Initially I was surprised and hurt, and concerned that I did something serious to cause that much of an extreme message, but upon reviewing the community guidelines as instructed, I realised it might be because of:

Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.

I realised I made a topic about something that was already pinned for techdata availability (with active replies), so I thought it would be better to include it there where it may be seen by a OpenWrt dev/wiki admin, as no response was made yet.

Regardless, I made a mistake. I am sorry.

I wanted to ask, is there any way for the automated message that the user receives to receive a reason why the flagged post was removed, instead of the broad 'look at the guidelines'? I only have guessed what part of the guidelines I may have disobeyed, and without knowing the actual reason, I'm unable to keep in mind what not to do for next time.

The moderation tools in the discourse forum software don’t provide an easy way to expand on the specifics of the flag/removal reasons.

When a post is flagged and removed, if there are questions related to the “why”, please feel free to message the moderators/admins to ask for more details.

Thank you for that, I appreciate the transparency with the limitations of the forum software.

Will message in future.
