Firmware Support FiberHome 5G CPE Pro LG6851F

Dear All,

I have a FiberHome 5G CPE Pro LG6851F, and I would like to change the OS from DD-WRT to OpenWRT. Can anyone help us or provide any advice?

Quectel's RG620T-EU 5G module based on the MediaTek T830 platform

The SOC chip is MT6990V

Not supported at this point, neither the device itself, nor the SOC it is based on. While that doesn't make it totally impossible, the development would be all yours for the taking - and with the SOC-bringup, it would be a very, very steep learning curve and quite a few months++ of work.

Hi @slh,

Thank you for your reply.

I heard there is a way, but it’s difficult. You need to obtain the tools, SDK, and installation file from the source (FiberHome), or you need to build or fork the OS from scratch.

Theoretically, the sky is the limit - but in practice the typical bloke's (e.g. mine) abilities hang much lower.
