Firewall restart whenever DHCP link happens for wan network

Is it necessary to restart the firewall always whenever there ifup is happening for wan interface ? I do not have any changes in firewall runtime, I am using whatever comes default. Technically IMO, should not be problem If I don't do firewall restart when there is DHCP is happening. any comments or suggestion.

You should not confuse restart and reload.
Reload preserves runtime state as much as possible.
In short, there's nothing to worry about in the default setup.
