I came across https://firehol.org/installing/openwrt/ and would like to try it. However its latest prebuilt package is https://github.com/firehol/packages/releases/download/2021-01-01-1948/firehol_3.1.7-1_all_19.07_all.ipk which kind of raises concerns if it will work on latest openwrt.
Documentation says that make is missing from openwrt, but it seems that make is available and I can try to build from source may be.
Is there somebody with recent experience with firehol installation to share best practices?

The best practice is to compile things with the SDK or trunk, not on an OpenWrt-installation itself.
