Extend root space of my DIR 2640 without lost existing setup

Hi,
Is this possible to extend installation space using USB drive, this router has 2 USB ports, 1st I am using a hard drive and another one I want to use as extended drive for installation (8gb USB).

I don't want to lose existing setup. I just want to extend storage for more plugin installation.

Thanks, any suggestion would be appreciated.
