Trying to upgrade to Openwrt (Possibly to Goldernorb after) onto my Dynalink Dl-wrx36. Trying to follow directions online but I'm stuck on the first part upon enabling SSH. But for some weird reason, I load the backup.cfg onto the OEM UI, and the dynalink boots normally, but the wifi doesn't connect even with the provided password from the separate forum, nor does my computer wouldn't connect to it. I don't know if it had something to do with my old router, because I'm now using my old WRT3200ACM with Hotspot to provide internet to the new Wifi 6 router until the new router was updated. As I do factory reset the wrx36, everything works again, the computer connects to the new router normally, but the error continuously states, "ssh admin@192.168.216.1 connection timed out."
**Then I was told to download OpenSSH. But honestly, I still don't know how to decrypt this one backup.cfg file. So I tried again to get a better understanding, loaded the backup.cfg onto the OEM UI, then I notice I don't get any connection coming from the lan ports.
Okay I've did just that. But when I do, my computer wouldn't connect to it, not even on wifi. Even with "askey1234.". Previous owner must've updated the firmware because I thought this would be a bit straight forward. Nothing continues to show up for Lan. It still doesn't even connect to SSH. "Ssh admin@192.168.216.1 connection timed out."
Excuse me? Maybe I haven't been clear enough already. Basically im trying to update to openwrt. I didnt know the router already updated to its latest firmware, and ive tried following the directions but i kept getting stuck with enabling ssh through lan because it kept saying the connection is timed out, and the picture clearly stated that theres no internet coming from it. So ill now try and ping login.dynalink then screenshot, lets we what this shows, give me a few minutes.
Im just going to ignore this other person respectfully because he's not helping, at all. As far as you, umm well, this is before i load the configuration. Everytime I do load the configuration, it cant connect to wifi, even with the password which is what I'm trying to explain previously, just factory reset an hour ago and its still giving me trouble connecting through lan because the screenshot I showed you is coming from its 2.4 wifi.
What username & password did you use right now to get access to the Dynalink, is it the details found on the bottom of the router?

the upload of config and reboot to access the router via ssh, should be done using a LAN cable attached from your PC <=> router.
Right now username is admin. And the password is immune!#6** (Of course im not going to show the full password). Okay so ive loaded backup.cfg. password is incorrect, tried the OG password, and also the password "askey1234", those two didn't work neither. Tried to do ssh, once again, lan to router, doubled checked, all the lights comes on but it still keeping timing out.
