Documentation of release availability is terribly inconsistent / confusing / outdated

I just moved from a swconfig to a DSA based OpenWrt build for a TP-Link Archer C2600 v1.x. I just wanted the latest stable build, but I found the documentation terribly inconsistent / confusing / outdated:

  1. The OpenWrt homepage states that the “Current stable release” is “OpenWrt 25.12.1” and that the “Old stable series” is OpenWrt 24.10.
  2. The OpenWrt release builds page states that the “Stable release” is “OpenWrt 24.10” and that the “Old stable release” is “OpenWrt 23.05”, and makes no mention whatsoever of OpenWrt 25.x.
  3. The OpenWrt TP-Link Archer C2600 v1.x Table of Hardware entry likewise states that the “Supported Current Rel” is “24.10.4” and makes no mention whatsoever of OpenWrt 25.x.
  4. The Index of (root) / releases / 25.12.1 / targets / ipq806x / generic / page includes tplink_c2600* images.

Am I missing something, or are half these pages just wrong / outdated? Who’s in charge of maintaining them, and where should I report this, other than here?

3, and probably 2 too, is updated manually, until someone changes them, they're going to be out of date.

I’m happy to do it myself, if it’s possible to get access to those pages - is it? If not, is there somewhere to report such problems?

wiki pages can be updated using a github account, but it doesn't work for 2 and 3, just tried it.

need someone more trustworthy ,)

The TOH version updates are a manual process. That feeds into the Information page (if one exists for the device). I’m slowly making progress updating those entries as time permits.

Thank you! If this is is a common problem, perhaps it would be a good idea to add a disclaimer to the standard page template warning that the version information may not be up to date, and pointing to the “Index of (root) / releases …” pages as possibly containing more current information?
