DNSSEC fails with dnscrypt-proxy2 [solved]

Hello,
the installation of dnscrypt-proxy2 followed this instruction. Configuration description is scarce.This may be because it is fairly simple, in theory.
Using the website dnsleaktest.com and checking the logs confirmed that it is basically working. However, I cannot get dnssec working.
I set the filter accordingly:

grep dnssec /etc/dnscrypt-proxy2/dnscrypt-proxy.toml
require_dnssec = true

but the test failed for dnssec validation.

My dhcp configuration is as follows:

It depends which resolvers you are using?

dnsmasq full 2.80-16.3
the default dnsmasq has been replaced by the full version, as I read somewhere that this is a requirement for dnscrypt-proxy2 to work

..... I used both version of dnsmasq and dnscrypt worked.
What are your dns servers?

They are provided by dnscrypt-proxy2. It includes a list of dns-servers, which can be filtered for certain attributes, e.g. no-logging, requiring dnssec, etc. Look here for all details.

I'm not asking you how dnscrypt is working.
I'm trying to help you. If the servers are not dnssec (false) you can't have a good answer from your dnssec test

In your toml file, in server names, you have what?
You kept the default? Cloudflare, google, yandex?

However, according to this wiki on Arch Linux

Select Resolver

By leaving server_names commented out in the configuration file 
/etc/dnscrypt-proxy/dnscrypt-proxy.toml, dnscrypt-proxy will choose 
the fastest server from the sources already configured under 
[sources] [3]. The lists will be downloaded, verified, and 
automatically updated [4]. 

Thus, configuring a specific set of servers is optional

it should not be neccessary. The sources mentioned in the reference is the relays.md file, which is availabe under /etc(dnscrypt-proxy/relais.md

I am getting closer to it, I believe. According to it's Github page the list is in place (and used) to provide the additional details to the resolver names, e.g. IP address etc. It facilitates resolver entry but does not replace it. Got it!

But then of course the question, what are the filters setting (require_dnssec= ) for?

As per your advice, yes.

If your resolver is not dnssec true it will be discarded

And still no valide dnssec?
