Hello everyone I figured I would post this question here to see if someone could answer. I did not realize that this router is supposed to have 1 gig of ram and mine shows 867 megabytes did I get a bad device or is this normal? Thanks.
you mean the OS runs somewhere else than in RAM ?
(plus /tmp is stored there too)
Thanks for the reply. I have a Google Onhub that has 1 gig of ram as well though it shows 997MB where this Dynalink shows 866. That's a huge difference.
The Dynalink has two more cores is newer and should have better performance than the Google Onhub. The Google Onhub seems to be superior at everything.
different hw and drivers.
run lsmod on both, compare the mem allocation for the kmods, esp qca* and ath*.
my WRX36 have 640MB free after 2.5 weeks.

the 2nd one 568MB, same uptime.

it's not a mem leak, they had an uptime of close to 300 days, before a power outage.
not sure how one can link "performance" to RAM allocation.
Thank you for the reply. One thing I noticed is that AdGuard Home runs out of ram on the Dynalink and then crashes and I never once had that happen on the Google Onhub. I am sure in the future they will have it tuned in better. But as of now been noticing that the Onhub is much better and more stable running 23.05. I got the Dynalink thinking it was going to be faster but it's not. Well have a good day Frollic.
You got to have a crazy amount of block lists configured.
I'm running my WRX36 on an old snapshot, dating from August 2023:
It's been rock-solid reliable, but I really think I ought to get onto 24.10 when it ships, as I have no real reason to be running on snapshots now. Can anyone advise what is going to be the best process to follow, and will there be any wrinkles like not being able to migrate my configuration?
Thanks for any help.
