Hello,
Recently I have been using my DIR-890L to usb tether to my iPhone than connect ethernet to my ps5, it was working flawlessly. Than I decided to hit the reset but on my router and now it wont connect to the internet it will tether but will have no internet. do i need to install open wrt on it, I'm not sure if it had it in the first place. Im not sure what to do.
Need some information:
And do you have any backups from your previous setup?
Hi, When I type in the command I get: ssh root@192.168.1.1 port22: Connection refused. I don't Have any backups unfortunately I bought the router from someone who had it all setup to go.
I looked and your device is only supported in what is called a Snapshot, it is still a work in process, tagged as unsupported, so you, most likely, don't have OpenWrt.
You should download the manual for your D-Link and follow their instructions to set it up.
We have very little information on your router.
Ahhh okay it was working before i reset it so weird
Reset usually means to start from scratch.
Ask your friend that set it up if they have a save of your setup.
If this is happening, it means that OpenWrt is almost certainly not installed on your router.
That means you need to ask the vendor for support since this is not related to OpenWrt. Alternatively, have your friend help you out -- maybe they will install OpenWrt for you.
Did you find it somewhere other than here?
I didn't look for the details of which images are available... the tell-tale situation is that an ssh attempt returned connection refused. This will never happen in a default OpenWrt configuration. That very strongly indicates that the OP is not running OpenWrt.
I meant had you found OpenWrt firmware for it thinking I had missed it.
Yeah I dont think it does. It uses ddwrt installed. I just cant get the lan ports to work ]
