Hello. A couple of days ago, I installed OpenWRT on my Etisalat S3 router by installing the image that is currently listed in the table of hardware, which is also the same image that is mentioned in the OpenWRT wiki of my router. However, I noticed that using the firmware selector ( https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/ ) gives a slightly more up to date image (version 23.05.2) while the router’s openwrt wiki page and the table of hardware for my router give a slightly outdated image (version 23.05). Should I upgrade to the image that the firmware selector provides, or should I stay with the slightly outdated version? Also, why is the more up to date image only available on the firmware selector?
Downloads links in wiki have not been mass-updated for 23.05.2 and show older links.
You can update to 23.05.2 (unless your device is specifically noted as problematic in the release notes...
