D-Link DCS-932 Flash content lost: boot hangs - No signature

Hi forum.
I have two DCS-932L wireless that after two years of work stopped working both at the same time.
Red light is on, no sign nor network detection. The camera will not respond to the reset button or being plugged in by Ethernet cable. No emergency web interface available.
Network is working great, no issue.
So after lurking on the internet I found the page of open WRT:
https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/d-link/dcs-930l
Connecting to the unpopulated JP2 header the serial port I found that the boot of the camera always hangs for both devices on the following line:

U-Boot 1.1.3

Board: Ralink APSoC DRAM: 32 MB

[...]

##### The CPU freq = 320 MHZ ####

estimate memory size =32 Mbytes

AND THEN STOP.
NO SIGNATURE, No choice is possible, linux is even starting to boot.

What do you think is going on here?
Do you think it can be recovered in any way?
Best regards and thanks.
Steve

  • Was it running OpenWrt?
  • Can you pause or stop the bootloader?

Nope. There is no boot loader.
It hangs before.
And it is not running OpenWrt

Once I boot it I get following log:

U-Boot 1.1.3

config usb..

Nothing else.
Than it hangs.
