We recently acquired D'Link DIR-853 in hardware version A2. A short time ago the community made openwrt available for the DIR-853 A2 (Dir 853 a2), but I didn't find the switch option to configure the router as a switch.
I really appreciate the help.
I dont know if this would help but have a look at this link. I do not use any switch functions outside of the default config.
a) I still don't see this device being supported
b) given that it seems to be mt7621 based, https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/dsa/dsa-mini-tutorial probably applies depending on which version that fork built upton
