Comfast CF-XR185-V2 with MTK3943 firmware?

Hello, I have the Comfast CF-XR185-V2 repeater and I would like to flash it to use OpenWRT. I noticed that the mediatek_mt7981 firmware might be suitable according to this reference page:

Here are the specifications of the Comfast CF-XR185-V2 repeater:
Chipset: MT7981A + MT7976DA
RAM: 256 MB
Flash: 128 MB

However, I am unable to perform the installation using the built-in web upgrade page. Could you help me and explain how to flash the device with the correct firmware? (For your information, I do have access to the UART port if needed).

Nope, that firmware is for evaluation kits, not OTS routers.
Can you get boot log from the device and point to the firmwares download page of it?
Lets see if it is similar enough to nettboot kernel from other similar enough device to explore hw further.
