Edit: OP was finding that changes to their router's IP were not taking effect as they expected. The IP kept changing back to its original value, rather than "accepting" the new value.
If you're trying to use LuCI, there is an "auto-revert" feature that you may need to disable.
One just has to click the red "Apply unchecked" button after the 30s expired, there is no need to disable something.
