I've installed openwrt on pc from squashfs x86 image to be able factory reset.
Cannot find overlay partition to enlarge it to all disk size.
There are only boot with grub, and squash, which is mounted ro.
Where is overlay gets from to store changes and newly installed pkgs?

You probably want to use the ext4 instead of the squashfs.

No. I donnot want. Ext fs image cannot do factoty reset, because has no read only squashfs.
