Can you import the config file from a Wrt1900acs into a Wrt3200acm running the same revision of OpenWRT?
Also is there any notable difference going from a wrt1900acs to wrt3200acm. Performance, coverage, etc..
Thanks in advance.

That is likely to be problematic, as the config backups do contain wireless devices paths, switch configurations, GPIO/ LED setups (which all are model specific) and sometimes MAC addresses.
You should be able to copy most config files, but like slh indicated, the hardware related ones may/will require tweaking (network, system, wireless). It would be better to reconfigure those manually.
Greatly appreciate the feedback from both you. Went ahead and flashed to 19.07 RC 1 and manually configured from scratch. Figured no point in jacking up a fresh install. Noticed a instant wireless improvement with Google fiber speed test results: the WRT1900ACS would cap out at between 280-320 MB down - with the WRT3200ACM it's getting 390-460 MB down now. Which is exactly what i was hoping/wanting in the end results.
