I did it.....
With a lot of help from AI, I implemented a backup solution that relies on rsync hard links (like rsnapshot and dirvish). It includes a status script and a locator. It does not include encryption (so use crypto-manage for encryption). Any comments are welcome.
It’s in production at my site and backs up ~20 stations in minutes (depending on changes, of course).
