Following these I set up a new build env:

I ran into this same problem before when I setup following those instructions and mentioned here*.
emacs spins on one cpu forever, this time I left for several hours and when I came back the build was spinning on this. It's a large annoyance and really bad because it happens near the start of the build process.
Anyone else see this?
Update: (forgot this)
Steps to reproduce:
- Follow the quick start guide into a new lede directory.
- The build output will stop and in another terminal you will see emacs trying to byte-compile conftest.el
