I see ZenWifi CD6 Model supported in snapshots?

That one's a no go; Broadcom.

Even if the source code is released by ASUS? Under GPL

GPL source or not, doesn't matter.

Did you check (confirm!) that the GPL source:

  • builds?
  • is complete?
  • runs on the device?
  • actually contains the driver source and doesn't link (or import-) binary object files?
  • comes with redistributable and GPL2 compatible licenses?

Without checking, I'd bet the house on at least the last to not being being, but probably all of them.

Is the only reasonable answer here.
