ASUS RT-N53 no wireless

Hi! I have something similar going on here, too. I am using the following firmware: openwrt-19.07.7-brcm47xx-mips74k-asus-rt-n53-squashfs.trx on an ASUS RT-N53 router. The wired networking works great, and the WebUI pops up. But no wifi. Here is the output of the command you previous requested for the OP:

root@OpenWrt:~# ubus call system board
{
	"kernel": "4.14.221",
	"hostname": "OpenWrt",
	"system": "Broadcom BCM5357",
	"model": "Asus RT-N53",
	"board_name": "0x0550:08:60:6e:b9:ad:13",
	"release": {
		"distribution": "OpenWrt",
		"version": "19.07.7",
		"revision": "r11306-c4a6851c72",
		"target": "brcm47xx/mips74k",
		"description": "OpenWrt 19.07.7 r11306-c4a6851c72"
	}
}

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wireless is not supported on that device, apart from it also being affected by https://openwrt.org/supported_devices/432_warning.

Thanks! That makes sense. I can only keep a router whose last official firmware update from the manufacturer was 2015 running for so long :smiley:
