Download the OpenWRT firmware for the C7 V2 EU.

Rename it to ArcherC7v2_tp_recovery.bin and place it in the same folder as TFTPD32.

Open your network settings in Windows and select the wired adapter (don't try this on a wireless connection.

Right-click and select Properties.

Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on the Properties button.

In the General tab, select the radio button for Use the Following IP Address.

Enter 192.168.0.66 for the IP address.

Should default to 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet Mask.

Turn the router off.

Make sure nothing else is connected to the router, it should be just the router and your computer.

Open TFTPD32. You may be asked to allow it through the firewall. Select Public.

Make sure the Current Directory dropdown is showing the path to the TFTPD32 folder, which should also contain your recovery firmware file ArcherC7v2_tp_recovery.bin

Select 192.168.0.66 in the Server Interface dropdown.

Go to the router and press the power button and the reset button at the same time.

Continue to hold the reset button for about 4 or 5 seconds, then release.

You should see a progress bar going across the TFTPD32 screen (although it should only take a very short time.)

View the log. It should show 100% transferred.

Go back to your wired network adapter, and change the radio button back to Obtain an IP Address Automatically.

Try to access the router GUI.

If you can see that you have Internet access in the Network icon, but can't access the GUI, open a Command prompt and run ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew.

Try to access the GUI again.

Thanks for quick reply trying the now
Is it any OpenWrt C7 V2 EU.firnware (newest)

You said you were on the "newest" version...so that's 21.02.0.

If not, pick the version you were running when the issue happened.

I use the factory, rather than the sysupgrade firmware.

Turned off Firewall to do this and removed Any Malware Virus Protection

Look at the recovery file name in your TFTPD32 folder...it's named incorrectly.

You have ArcherC7v2_tp_recovery..bin

It should be ArcherC7v2_tp_recovery.bin

Need to wear my glasses

Tried that now nothing shows on the screen, no fields... blank

How long should it take

It usually goes pretty quickly.

Did you look at the TFTPD32 log?

Click on the Log Viewer tab.

Nothing in log viewer now
Unless the 4-5 seconds on reset I am doing it wrong

why does it jump to 127.0.0.1 on server tab?

It's possible.

You start out with the router turned off.

No connection other than you to the router.

Make sure 192.168.0.66 is still showing in the Server Interface dropdown.

Hold the power button and the reset button in...release the power button right away...continue to hold the reset button...then release.

4 to 5 seconds usually does it...I've had to go longer in the past.

Why the jump to 127. ?

You can avoid that by going into the Settings section and set the IP address manually.

After changing those settings it returns
DHCP default router cannot be empty
Field DHCP Mask cannot be empty

Still nothing....

Go to Settings > Global

Change the settings to look like this...

Then, go back to Settings > TFTP and match the settings to the screen shot posted earlier.

You may also need to try an earlier version of the OpenWRT firmware, such as 19.07.8.

Make sure it's the same region (you said EU) that you originally had running, otherwise it won't work.

An aside...it's not necessary (nor a good idea) to disable your firewall. Just give TFTPD32 Public permissions.

I've never turned off the firewall and AV, and never had a problem with it running.
