One quick way to check is to search the Table of Hardware (ToH)

Unfortunately, https://openwrt.org/toh/friendlyelec/friendlyelec_nanopi_neo_plus2 may not be your device and it states that the 2.4 GHz wireless is not working at this time.
Don't bother unless you're going to build the 4.19 branch, before that it'll run the CPU on full blast constantly which makes it really hot and hard to cool and as jeff mentioned it doesn't look like it's supported out of the box but it shouldn't be that hard.
