I became the owner of a new Xiaomi AX3000T router. Installed owrt 23.05.3 240325. There is a problem with setting up a PPPoE connection, as required by my provider. The settings are missing the items that are in the screenshot of my old router. Is it possible to add such items in this firmware?
Whois 1.0.0.0 says:
[...]
inetnum: 1.0.0.0 - 1.0.0.255
netname: APNIC-LABS
descr: APNIC and Cloudflare DNS Resolver project
descr: Routed globally by AS13335/Cloudflare
descr: Research prefix for APNIC Labs
country: AU
[...]
So, this looks a bit odd unless you truly get your internet from the APNIC Labs... (if true I am sure they can help you).
Which parameter are you missing, as far as I understand all of these should be filled automatically as part of the PPPoE handshake/negotiation.
The address 1.0.0.1
is used by cloudflare as a secondary to 1.1.1.1
nameserver.
Apart from that, you are not supposed to fill in such details in PPPoE, the provider will assign them to your device upon successful connection.
Without these parameters, TV channels on Android TV-box do not work
I need all the parameters as shown in the screenshot
If you just plug in the username and password for PPPoE on the wan link and enable pppoe debugging (edfit /etc/ppp/options and replace 'debug
with just debug
, that is remove the #
and restart the router) and post the output of:
logread | grep -e ppp
ATTENTION make sure to redact any sensitive information before posting, and use the following instruction to copy and paste from the terminal in which you ran the command to the forum:
Please use the "Preformatted text </>

Just make sure you "sandwich" your text between two rows of backtick characters ` (which themselves will be invisible in the preview) looking in something like this in the editor:
```
Your Pasted Text as preformatted text with fixed width font
1
1111 (note with fixed-width fonts the numbers are right-aligned)
```
but looking like this in the rendered forum:
Your Pasted Text as preformatted text with fixed width font
1
1111 (note with fixed-width fonts the numbers are right-aligned)
Try this:
uci set network.wan.pppd_options=1.0.0.1:1.0.0.2
uci commit network
ifup wan
did not help, the Internet disappeared

Are you sure that with the old router you were not using some sort of VPN?
The PPPoE connection seems OK, just onto a non-public address in the 100. address space.
yes, I'm sure I set it up myself
When I installed a new router, a technician came from the provider who said that this model did not have such settings and was not suitable, so I flashed it on owrt in the hope of finding them there
What model was the old router then?
Mmmh that seems like you had both a pppoe ans a static IPv4 configuration on the same interface. That in theory should be configurable within OpenWrt as well.
where can I find such settings?
You would likely need to add a new interface (on the same port as pppoe-wan) and manually configure that statically.
Why have you wiped out the authentication name on the screenshot?
Which carrier are you using, I'm behind a line authentication carrier that allows absolute gibberish in the pppoe settings and still connects.
