I’m currently exploring whether OpenWRT supports 802.1X port-based access control. Most of the documentation I’ve found focuses on configuring OpenWRT as a client, and forum posts on the topic seem to be either incomplete or unanswered.
What I’m specifically looking for is a way to configure OpenWRT to act as an authenticator—ideally with a built-in RADIUS server—so that clients connecting via wired Ethernet can be authenticated directly by the router.
Has anyone successfully set this up, or is there any guidance or documentation available on enabling this functionality?
