Topic: Asus WL 500gP + Cable Modem + Kamikaze 7.07

I have internet access through a cable modem (dynamic ip) and recently bought a Asus WL 500gP router. I'd like to run Kamikaze 7.07 on it.

Should I go for the 2.4 kernel with broadcom or 2.6 kernel with atheros? What is the most stable option? I definitely need WLAN working with WPA/WPA2.

Do I need to configure network.wan.proto=dhcp for my cable modem?

not sure about the cable, but should definitely go with the 2.4 if you want stability or 7.06

Definitely 2.4 -- the 2.6 is segfaulting one of the Asus boxes I know of (not mine;  I'm 2.4) .
