Topic: WRT54G V2.0

I have a V2.0 hardware. I'm surprised to see that interface mapping is not as in http://openwrt.ksilebo.net/temp/OpenWrt_b3.txt. So for Openwrt b3 :

1.x hardware:
   vlan1 => WAN
   vlan2 => LAN
   eth2  => Wireless

2.0 hardware
   vlan0 => LAN
   vlan1 => WAN
   eth2  => Wireless

for me in openwrt b4- and a v2 hardware :

root@OpenWrt:/etc/init.d# iwconfig
lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

eth1      IEEE 802.11-DSF  ESSID:"linksys"
          Mode:Ad-Hoc  Channel:9  Cell: 9A:E0:BA:39:87:E8
          Bit Rate:54Mb/s   Tx-Power=15 dBm
          Retry limit:0   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key: .....
          Link Quality:5/5  Signal level:-12 dBm  Noise level:-256 dBm
          Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0

vlan0     no wireless extensions.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
root@OpenWrt:/etc/init.d# ifconfig
...
eth1      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:90:4C:5F:00:2A
          inet addr:169.254.0.66  Bcast:169.254.255.255  Mask:255.255.0.0
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:4167 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:835
          TX packets:2075 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:364847 (356.2 KiB)  TX bytes:253860 (247.9 KiB)
          Interrupt:4 Base address:0x1000
...
vlan0     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:0F:66:4D:0A:9E
          inet addr:10.0.0.66  Bcast:10.255.255.255  Mask:255.255.0.0
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:1604 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:1289 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:80477 (78.5 KiB)  TX bytes:206185 (201.3 KiB)

my wlan interface is working nice, so mapping is probably :

2.0 hardware
   vlan0 => LAN
   vlan1 => WAN
   eth1  => Wireless

Re: WRT54G V2.0

The documentation is old and obsolete, much like the b3 release.
