Topic: Installation on D-Link DIR-825 enters endless boot loop

Recently got a second D-Link DIR-825 router, it had firmware 2.10 installed, its wireless was incorrectly setup which made the router restart every 15 seconds or so ... it was quite a struggle to disable wireless and downgrade to firmware 2.04.

Both in the firmware upgrade page and recovery mode all lede/openwrt files are rejected due to an incorrect hardware ID.

All D-Link firmware files have this ID: 01AP94-AR7161-RT-080619-00
All openwrt files have this ID: 00AP94-AR7161-RT-080619-00

When I change the ID in the lede/openwrt file both methods of flashing the firmware report no errors, however the device enters an endless boot loop. When the power stops flashing it only burns a couple of seconds before going off, next it starts flashing rapidly again for a while before it shortly burns orange and goes of again.

Any suggestions on how to proceed to get lede/openwrt working on this device are appreciated.

Seems, your DIR-825 has broken ART partition, or broken hardware. It will be better to open device and post here UART bootlog
