The content of this topic has been archived on 13 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Greetings,

does anybody knows if OpenWrt supports MU-MIMO technology
on Linksys 3200ACM ?
I've heard that also WIFI drivers on OpenWrt for this model are not
in good shape - is it true ?

Kind Regards

Artur

MU-Mimo is not availabe at the moment in the Marvell opensource driver.
Yurhaulin said he'll add this later.

As posted above, MU-MIMO will be added later.

The wifi driver for the 3200acm, in my opinion, is in good shape. Most people are very happy with it, and then there's the few who are not, but are very vocal about it.

Hi,

today I've tested the OpenWRT firmware for 3200ACM:
lede-17.01.2-mvebu-linksys-wrt3200acm-squashfs-factory.img

Everything went good with flashing and setting the router,
but the WiFi connection is dropped every couple of minutes,
and there is no way of bringing it back except for router restart.

Despite instaling the patch as mentioned on the wiki:
(Sorry no link allowed in post for me)

I see that there is special repository for Linksys routers (including 3200ACM).
davidc502sis.dynamic-dns.net

Can anyone tell me whatever in these builds the WiFi issues are fixed ?
Are there any other differences to OpenWRT ?

Kind Regards smile

I think there is LEDE 17.01.3 that came out October 4th that should have the latest Wifi driver included if you want to give that a try.

If not, you are welcome to try the davidc502 builds and that does include the latest wifi driver, including a one particular change that helps to keep latency low for gamers.

The discussion might have continued from here.
