Topic: Why the OpenWrt build process asks me to install JDK

The content of this topic has been archived on 7 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hello everybody,

Since building the OpenWrt via Mac will take several hours, and I often leave it there in the night. Hopefully, it can be done in the morning.

But the compiling will be failed because the dialog "To use the \"java\" command-line tool you need to install a JDK." is not consented.

Am confused that why the java command-line is performed during the compiling? How to avoid this? Note that if the JDK dialog is consented on time, the compiling is successful even though the JDK does not get installed.  Really do not expect to have the JDK installed on the Mac.

Thank you

Maybe you selected the "jamvm" module, I guess.
