This will all end in tears (but more interesting than watching paint dry).

What do you mean end in tears? Please help.

Sidenote to ichiban: Why are you taking pictures of your screen, when simple copy & paste (+usage of the <code> tag) would be sufficient?

I suppose that is probably a better idea, the laptop I use on linux is not connected to the internet.
I access the openWRT forums via another device.

Do you have a serial-TTL cable that you can attach and flash a fresh?

Unfortunately not...
I was hoping I didn't have to crack it open to flash it back.
I could look for a USB-TTL cable here locally if that is the case.

It sounds possible to recover without from your description. I have never personally been in your exact situation on that exact device. But other than the advice you have been given, and the documents that you have been pointed to. Have you looked at this? https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/gene … shing.tftp Otherwise I have no further advice at this time.

Try this first
https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3020?s[]=tl&s[]=mr3020#restoring_original_firmware

If you can't connect the router to a working Internet connection, have it connect to your computer... host the firmware with quick and portable web server such as Apache (conveniently packaged XAMPP also works)

Can anyone else help... I still have this paperweight and can't figure out how to fix it. I have a USB TTL adapter but it didnt come with cables

bump anyone?

Opened the unit up and got a USBTTL.
There are no pins for me to hook the device up to.
Can anyone please advise. I forgot about the device but want to get it working again!

Thanks!

Seriel is hidden under the white blob at the top of the PCB.
