I've opened the case on my MR16, and I'm trying to get connected to it via a USB-to-Serial adapter using PuTTY. I've connected the following pins on JP1:
P1 (square solder) - none
P2 - pin 2 on DB9
P3 - pin 3 on DB9
P4 (round solder) - pin 5 on DB9
I have set my baud rate to 115200, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no flow control or parity.
At this time, I'm getting garbage output on my serial session when I boot up the MR16, so I can tell that there's data flowing across the cabling but I'm running out of ideas on what else I could be doing wrong. Anyone offer any help on this matter?
