Hello

I have a TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1 and just installed OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05.1 / LuCI 15.05-149-g0d8bbd2 Release (git-15.363.78009-956be55). Everything works fine, but...
The WAN Port is connected to a Cable Modem, the internet download speed was 11MB/sec with stock firmware, but now its only 3 MB/sec.

Any ideas how to fix this?

No way except return to original fw, sorry. It's because the stock fw uses hw nat, while openwrt does not.

You must remove the bootloader part or you will brick it.

so i can never again simply use a firmware update from tp link?

the wiki says only remove it when the file name contains "boot", but the latest from tp link website does not contain boot. so i am unsure now.

wr1043nv1_en_3_13_15_up_boot(140319).bin

You have to extract the file(comes as .zip) and you will find the firmware file here: it does have boot.

You can flash this image with boot already stripped: http://www.friedzombie.com/tplink-strip … R1043ND-V1

Make sure to extract it first.
